BONNIE'S JOURNEY TO THE DIANA NECKLACE DISPLAY

I wish to share with you the feelings I had when I walked into the Diana Necklace Display at the
Beverly Hills Hotel,The Sunset Room,Beverly Hills, California.

I went into the Hotel and inquired about which room that Diana's necklace was in. I was pointed toward the Sunset Room. When I walked in, the room was heavy with Diana's Spirit. Tears welled up inside as I approached the necklace for the first time. I stood there in awe as I stared at the necklace in all its splendor. I could not stay long the first time because I felt such heavyness in my heart.

I then left the room and headed for the Polo Lounge to have lunch and ponder the scenes I had just witnessed. I thought it strange that I was the only one on hand to view the neclace so far. I thought that the room should have been filled. After lunch I scurried back to the Sunset Room for one last look. I then began to take pictures, after asking permission.

I felt different this time....happy that I was able to see the necklace and take as many pictures as I wanted. The sun was streaming in through the windows, and the mood was so bright and airy, now. I felt as if I had been put into another dimension. Soon, the trance was over and it was time for me to make my final exit.

As I left the room, the Host ran after me and asked if I had any questions....he said, " I noticed how much seeing the necklace affected you, do you have any questions?." I couldn't say much....I kinda stammered....which is unusual for me....I am such a talker. I got out the words..."It was because of Diana that my friend Pete and I met."

The Host didn't question me any further....he seemed to know and became serene. I said goodbye and left the hotel.

****** A Diamond and pearl necklace and earrings worn by Princess Diana on her last public appearance sold for £362.500 yesterday ---£2.6 million less than predicted. The jewels worn by Diana to a London ballet (Swan Lake ) in June 1997, were auctioned in New York. They were sold by London stockbroker James Thornton 43, because his wife Amanda rarely wore them. He is thought to have bought them for £250.000 two years ago.*******

So magic was purchased for £362.500--the magic that was Diana. A part of Diana lingers in the people who loved her-the hearts she touched-the things she wore. We will never see such magic again...........
