Ace and Aramis finally made it down the long spiral staircase to his laboratory deep within the volanic underground.
Ace opened the door to the room and Aramis immediately thought it was mystical. He looked around. There was the typical things a wizard would have, like potions, magical text, and so forth, and other things he had never seen.
They walked in and Aramis looked at everything. Ace just stood by and let him. There was a strange shiny object that looked almost alien to Aramis. He reached and touched it. The little object powered up and floated into the air. It scared Aramis and he backed away. Ace laughed, "I see you found my glass eye friend, I call spot."
"What is it?" Aramis asked.
"I found this in the year 2036. I believe they call it an automatic video camera." Ace motioned across the room. A strange looking box sat upon a table. The box lit up and Aramis appeared in it. He looked at Ace. "What's that?"
"They call it a television."
"Oh," Aramis replied.
"Well," Ace said, "Let's get serious." He looked at the floating video camera. "Down Spot." The camera lowered and shut off.
Ace lead Aramis to his table with potions and flask of chemicals. "I have a spell here to make you stronger. I believe you are ready. You already have mental strength, and you have the power of the Earth within your hands." Ace looked him up and down. "You are a little scrawny."
"I am?"
"Yes."
"This spell will make you bigger and stronger. Do you want it?"
"Do I have a chose?"
"Yes, it's up to you. Do you want to face Blackwell as you are presently. Or very strong?"
"Well, the best I can be, I suppose."
Ace motioned to a clean table. "Here, lay upon this table."
Aramis laid down on the table.
Ace began to chant. "From the four directions, from the four elements, give this boy the battlements to defeat those whom would harm others. Shield this body and build this body with strength of cover." Ace backed away. "This is gonna hurt."
Flames engulfed the table. Aramis screamed in pain. His clothes were burned off of him. His body contorted. His muscles grew. His strength magnified. Just when it seemed he couldn't handle anymore, he flew off the table and landed on the floor. Smoke poured off of him.
Ace stood on the other side and peaked a curious eye over the table. Aramis looked up at him. His eyes twinkled. Particles of golden positive energy came off him and bounced around the room. "How do you feel?" Ace asked. The new buffed Aramis stood up and said, "Bitchin'."
Ace laughed. "That's a catchy new word."
