Simple Sachets to Make

These are sooo easy to make....
you'll find yourself with a little pile of pillows before you know it!!
The great thing about these, is they are refillable so your receiver can change the scent,
just be sure to tell them to wash them first,
using something like WooliteŽ or another mild soap.
Just soak for a few minutes and allow to dry completely before refilling!!
If you have a sewing machine....it cuts the time in half!!!!

Things you'll need;
--Fabric scraps, at least 4 inches by 4 inches,
or cut into whatever shape you wish*
--VelcroŽ (the thinnest width you can get works best,
or cut strips about 3/4 inches in width and about 2 1/2 inches in length)
--a hot glue gun
--Ribbon pieces
--a bag of Potpourri, or the little potpourri pearls* work too

Are you ready? Here we go....
Place fabric pattern side to pattern side and stitch 2 sides together, about 1/2 inch seam
before you stitch the 3rd side, make a little loop with ribbon (so the little loop is about 3 inches long), set INTO the little pillow and stitch that together for the 3rd side
Fold the open edges towards you, press (if you can, just makes it easier) and glue the ends down, leaving the opening intact.
Glue velcroŽ one part to one side, and the other part to the other side
Turn inside out so fabric pattern is facing you, (the velcroŽ should be inside...and the ribbon should be on the outside....LOL!!!)
Stuff with Potpourri, about 1/2 full, close the velcroŽ and there you have it!!!
Soo easy......believe me, it was much easier to make than to type out....LOL!!!!

*Just be careful when you do shapes....leave a wide enough opening so you stuff them.
You can decorate them how ever you wish!
*You can also use the little potpourri pearls if you wish, but I only use about 20 pearls and stuff with cotton batton or pillow stuffing...careful though with those because they are a little greasy, and they could stain the fabric!
