I didn't quite make it to thursday for my Dr. appt. this week. I have had some awful pain over the weekend and was afraid I was getting another UTI, so I went in today instead. I have gained 2 more pounds, bp was 122/70, did 2 urine specimens but they couldn't find anything wrong in my urine. I saw the nurse practicioner and she decided to put me on Macrobid antibiotics for a UTI anyways, just to be on the safe side. She asked me about "swelling" and if I was having any and I told her yes, frequently lately, especially at night or if I drink a lot of water. She seemed a little concerned about that. I have no signs of Pre Eclampsia so far, and I hope I don't get it!
I start going every 2 weeks from now on, yayyyyy! 3rd TRIMESTER COUNTDOWN BEGINS! I go back on April 23rd for my 30 week check up. It's so hard to believe I only have 12 more weeks to go until this baby will be here. It's so amazing!
P.S., on March 23rd I got us a little puppy, she is part Jack Russell ( like wishbone) and part Mountain Feist. She is about 2 1/2 months old now, white with a couple of brown spots on her and brown ears, lots of spots under her belly and under her hair, so we named her DOTTIE. She's as cute as can be, and full of energy. I will post a picture or 2 of her soon.
Went in today for my 30 week check up. BP was 122/64, heartbeat ranging in lower 130's and loud & clear. I am measuring right on target also.
Dr. Taylor talked to me a little about my diet, I have lost 5 pounds in the past 2 weeks, making my total pregnancy weight gain 16 pounds, but he is still concerned that I may gain too much. He is having me come back in one week , next monday. I have to fast from Midnight until I get to the office, and they are going to draw my blood and do a "fasting blood sugar check" to see if I am still ok with Gestational Diabetes. I'm sure I will be, I passed my Glucose Tolerance Test 3 weeks ago. He's just being cautious.
I guess that's it for this week, I'll update again on April 30th after my appointment and let you all know how things are going then.
Well, I finally decided on a name for sure. We will be naming our little boy JACOB THOMAS. Jacob===because I love Jakob Dylan from THE WALLFLOWERS, it is a bible name also. THOMAS===because I love Rob Thomas from MATCHBOX 20, it is John's middle name, and a bible name also. He will have his daddy's initials also, J.T.C. I think it will be sweet, and I think it sounds really good together, Jacob Thomas Cox. =)
Here we are at 31 wks/5 days. Had my OB check up today. Here's how it went: measuring at 30 weeks, lost 2 1/2 pounds, bp 116/72, urine was fine, had the "fasting" blood sugar check, it was a 94, which is good. I go back in 2 weeks, on May 15th at 11:30 am. Also Carrie & Sarah have their brothers & sisters to be and siblings at birth classes coming up on May 15th too! We are all going to spend the day in Murfreesboro and the girls will get to go to the OB check up with me this time, they've never got to hear their little brothers heartbeat...I can't wait to see their reactions to that!
