Bobby Labonte is having a new paint scheme at the Dover race in September Bobby is going to have a paint scheme at Dover celebrating Cal Ripken Jr. for all is success because he is retiring.This was just planed today (6/28/01) for Bobby to have a paint scheme of Cal Ripken Jr.
Bobby Labonte wins his First Race of 2001!!!!!
Bobby got a sweet taste of victory yesterday by winning the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono.Bobby started 11th and drop back a little at the beginning of the race.He moved into the top 10 after a couple of laps.Then he moved into the top 5 near the middle of the race and stayed there untill about 20 laps to go.There was a caution before that so they restarted about 20 laps to go.Bobby passed his teamate for third.Then he passed #10 Valvoline driven by Johnny Benson for second.Untill about 6 laps to go, Bobby stayed in second and saved a little for the end. Then he started charging.With 4 laps to go, Bobby started to pass high on the back straightaway, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. closed the door.Bobby tried outside and inside and outside again to pass him into the corner and went on to win his first win of the season!!! Bobby Labonte wins the IROC Championship in 2001.He won the 2 out of the 4 races they run in the IROC series.He won at Talladega last year for his first IROC win.Then this year he won at Talladega and at Indianapolis to capture his first IROC Championship.He has 3 carear wins in IROC.
The Legend of Nascar Dale Earnhardt dies from hitting the wall head on.It was the last lap of the last turn of the Daytona 500 on 2/18/01.He was pronounced dead at 5:16pm.

Bobby Labonte didn't die on Friday on April 27th.Rumors said that he did die in a car crash on Friday.Bobby Labonte said that he didn't have any close calls going to Californa or practing on the track.He said that his wife was so mad about this because they were home and they heard the news.His wife was happy that he was alive but she was mad that people rumored about that.
