The Rocky Mountains

This is the Yellow Bird taken in the Rocky Mountains. This is also nice country as well, but I’m still to this day partial to Vermont. I guess maybe because I spent a lot of time in and around the Rockies that’s probably why I don’t get too excited about them. I do enjoy going through them though and I’m also just as glad when I leave them too. One thing about it, doesn't the Yellow Bird look pretty proud parked by that Crows Nest Pass sign. Who says a machine can't have feelings.

Locomotive

This truck you see above, the red Volvo wasn’t my truck. A friend of mine was sick with diabetes and he was in a bind with truck payments etc. and so I helped him out for a while with his truck. Let me tell you this was also another great truck. Do you see the cowcatcher on the front, boy with that I never had to worry about even so much as slowing down for deer on the highway. It would take a deer down like nothing and all you’d hear was a thump. That's were it picked up the nickname of locomotive on the road. It also had an onboard diesel generator, a microwave and a sink. This was a cool truck

Blast From The Past

Good old Frederick Transport. This is a Company I worked for as a driver and then later on down the road as an Owner Operator. This was a company that as far as I was concerned just didn’t have it, or at least not for me anyway. A good Company in my mind needs to have certain qualities and this Company didn’t meet with too many of the characteristics I’d classify as being that way. It was a good company for the company, but not a good one for their employees. Anyway that’s why there are so many different people in the world. Just think how boring this world would be if we all had the same interests and values.
