Always Learning

"always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2Timothy 3:7

Do you want to know the biggest problem with the church these days? We know too much! We have about as much knowledge available to us as the size of Mount Everest. We've got several copies of the bible in various versions. We've heard the best teachings on spirituality that money can buy. Let's go further. You know more about God than Moses, Jeremiah, King David, or John the Baptist. After all, you have to complete set of scriptures not to mention the fullness of the Spirit. So how is it they were able to accomplish way more? In light of the enormous amount of spiritual information you have, why are you only using about a thimble's worth of it?

How long have you been a Christian? What else do you need before you start to do something about it? Do you really need another teaching series? Another DVD set? Another seminar? The latest CD? I've been an expert at acquiring knowledge for decades, but seldom do I feel empowered to do something. But things don't unfold until there's love and obedience. Jesus said "don't say 4 more months and then the harvest". He said "the fields were white (ripe) unto harvest". And that was over 2000 years go! What is the harvest like now?You say you don't feel ready. It doesn't depend on if YOU are ready, it depends on if the harvest is ready. If you were a farmer and it was time to gather the fruit but you didn't feel like it, what do you think is going to happen to your crop? Is it going to wait until you are ready?
You want to bring change, or just have church? If you really want the answer to that, someone should get up at the end of every message & say, "OK now let's go do what we've just heard right now"! Then you will know who you really are.
