Some think it is the highest epitomy of human pride to definitely declare the identity of a Supreme Being. And this would be true if it were not for the fact that He has revealed Himself to us first, before we ever even thought about Him. Check out Isaiah 65:1-2, Romans 5:6, & 1John 4:19.
So what appears to be a high form of pride is actually the highest form of humility. The irony is that the naysayers are the ones blinded by pride. And the only possibility of coming out of that is for a personal God to come seeking after us first.
