Computer Assisted Instruction, English 853

The Computer Writing Center is a warm, relaxed place where lots of serious work occurs. When you register for English 853, you have the opportunity to get writing advice from experienced English instructors, as well as gain the ability to use new state-of-the-art computers and laser printers. In addition, the Computer Writing Center now has multimedia and Internet access.

At the Computer Writing Center, students can: go over paper in conference with an English or ESL instructor, get advice about rewrites, use tutorials to improve their writing skills, research their papers on the Internet, send e-mail to their instructors, use the center's state-of-the-art computers to compose their papers and writing assignments, use automatic spell-checkers, use Excel to create charts and graphs, use mulitmedia programs for English, Literature, German, and Spanish print their papers on laser printers, and get help with computer questions or problems. No computer experience necessary. The hours are flexable and can vary every week. We are open days: Monday - Saturday; evenings: Monday - Thursday. Stop by the Computer Writing Center to get started.
