The guard vamp hit Larry in the face with a backhand. "That'll teach you to mouth off, human." The vampire walked out of the cell. "Get some new material......." Larry moaned weakly. Samantha kneeled next to him.

"We have to get out of here." She saidm looking at him cautiously. He glared up at her.

"Leave me alone. I'm not a fucking hero." Larry looked into her eyes "I wish I knew how to get you out of here.........but I don't."

"Bullshit. You're a hero. You didn't tell them anything..."

"That's beacuase I didn't know anything." Larry retorted. He walked over to his bunk and plopped down on it, covering his eyes with his forearm.

"Larry............they obviously kept you around for a reason." Samantha said, clasping her hands together and holding them towards the floor between her legs. Larry made no reply. Samantha got to her feet angrily. "Fine, coward, sit there and whine about not being a hero and wait here until they kill you. But I'm getting out of here." She laid down on her bed. Larry sat up.

"How?" He asked.

"Fuck off." Samanthas' eyes closed. Larry mumbled and laid down.

Larry woke up and saw Samantha standing by the door. "What are you doing?" he asked.

"Waiting." She held her breath, and Larry watched as two vampires opened the door. One carried an axe, the other carried nothing. They pointed at Samantha. "You are scheduled for processing." They grabbed her. She looked over at him. "Larry!" She said, her eyes wide with fear. "Please don't let them......." from seemingly out of nowhere, a deep rumble came from his throat, and suddenly he heard it fly from his throat as a roar. He charged forward, muscling one of the vamps, the one with the axe, to the floor. Samantha kicked the other in the crotch, stunning him long enough for Larry to drop him to the floor. Larry lifted his bunk and dropped it on the pair of Vamps. He grabbed Samantha, and the axe, and ran from the cell. On thier way down the corridor, more vampires ran down the hall towards them. Larry stood, waiting. Samantha stood behind him. One Vampire knocked him to the floor, knocking the wind out of him. He watched as another one grabbed Samantha and bit into her. She screamed in pain. Larry lifted his assailant with all his might and tossed him to the floor. He ran at the other and gave a mighty fist to his face. He kneeled down next to Samantha. He held her head up off the ground. ! "Maine, Larry." She whispered. "Go to Maine. And Larry, thank you. For trying to save me. I knew there was a reason Buffy kept you around." She closed her eyes and breathed her last breath. He turned and bent over the unconcious vamps. He beheaded both of them with the axe. He started running down the hall when he heard the screams of the people in the other cells. He took a deep breath and let them all out, breaking the locks with the axe. He then led the charge down the hall

The people were putting up a good fight, but it wouldn't last. During all the commotion, Larry found a small hangar with some vehicles in it. He looked around and noticed a motocycle. He grinned and got on it. After he hotwired it(Giles had taught him quite a few things during thier time together) he drove away, feeling sad about Samantha, but being happy and smiling at the same time. Beacause he was Larry. He was a friend of the slayer. He was a hero.

Nastassia watched as the motorcycle sped away, smiling. "Good show, Larry." She said. She started up her car and drove down the road after him. "Lets' see where you're off to."
