DAVID DYSON The Dawning

Inspired by his stints with Me'shell N'degeocello and Steve Coleman, and the solo turns of Marcus Miller, Dyson(layering his fretted and fretless MTD fives and NS Design electric upright amongst others)creates deeply funky, sonically rich groove meditations. Sweet spots range from the go-go goaded skank of "Le Le's Lah Lah" to the fretless flights on "In The Midst Of". (CJ)
