A Message To Anyone Taking The Time To Read This Page

I started this on a basic editor and soon realized that I had already learned more html than I thought and was pretty much bored with a basic editor!
Now, I realize that there are a lot of different servers out there, AOL being one of them.
There are also some very easy-to-use programs, like 'Front Page', etc.
I also know that a lot of people are quite content with simply clicking a 'mouse' and creating whatever they deem easiest.
However, isn't it possible that the easy way might not be the best way?
Let's take, for instance, the case of today's children learning math with a calculator.
This is all great stuff to learn, but what can they do with a piece of paper and a pencil?
What will kids do for a quick calculation when a calculator is unavailable or even inconvenient?
By the same theory, what amount of intelligence is actually being extended to the internet customer who can 'build' a page by clicking onto someone else's prepared html coding?
Just what is that person learning?
Consequently, is technology creating an easier, more highly evolved learning tool, or is it actually creating a society that is highly DEPENDENT upon mechanical objects rather than intelligence?
What is to become of this new, dependent society in the eventual absence of those whose intelligence created these sophisticated tools of the pseudo-intelligent?
We live in a world which evolved in the name of independence - created by and for those who refused to "follow the lead of the general populace under the guidance of the selected few".
Where is the logic behind this?
Oh, I'm sorry, would you like some extra time to present this situation to your computer's "think-tank"?
