Aaronic Priesthood Mission Statement
The Mission of the Aaronic Priesthood is to help each young man-
- Become converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ and Live by its teachings.
- Magnify priesthood callings.
- Give meaningful service.
- Prepare to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood.
- Commit to, worthily prepare for, and serve an honorable full-time mission.
- Live worthy to receive temple covenants and prepare to become a worthy husband and father.

The Offices and Responsibilities of the Aaronic Priesthood are:
- Deacon(twelve to thirteen year olds)
A worthy young man may be ordained to the office of deacon when he is twelve years old.
The deacons are usually assigned to pass the sacrament to members of the
Church, act as ushers, keep Church buildings and grounds in good order, act as messengers for priesthood
leaders, and fulfuill special assignments such as collecting fast offerings.
- Teacher(fourteen to fifteen year olds)
A worthy young man may be ordained a teacher when he is fourteen
years old or older. Teachers have all the duties, rights, and powers of the office of deacon plus aditional ones. Teachers in the
Aaronic Priesthood are to help Church members live the commandments. To help fulfill this
responsibility, they are usually called as home teachers. They visit the homes of Church members and encourage
them to live the principles of the gospel. They have been commanded to teach the truths of the gospel
frome the scriptures. Teachers also prepare the bread and water for the sacrament service.
- Priest(sixteen to seventeen+)
A worthy young man may be ordained a priest when he is sixteen years old or
older. Priests have all the duties, rights, and powers of the offices of deacon and teacher plus some additional ones. A priest
may baptize. He may also administer the sacrament. He may ordain other priests, teachers, and deacons. A prist may take charge
of meetings when there is no Melchizedek Priesthood holder present. He is to preach the gospel to those around him.

Young Men's Theme
I am a son of my Heavenly Father.
He has entrusted me with "the Priesthood of
Aaron, which holds the keys of the ministering of
angels, and of the gospel of repentance, and of
baptism by immersion for the remission of sins."

- I pray in private daily.
- I read the scriptures regularly.
- I seek the guidance of the Spirit.
- I honor my father and mother.
- I am morally clean.
- I obey the Word of Wisdom, including not using tobacco, alcoholic drinks,
coffee, tee, or harmful drugs.
- I am honest in thought, word, and action.
- I pay my tithes and offerings.
- I practice the law of the fast.
- I magnify my priesthood callings
- I obey the laws of the land.
- I apply the principles of repentance and forgiveness.
- I help make my family life better.
- I refrain from swearing, gossiping, criticizing others, and other unworthy speech.
- I avoid all immoral and suggestive materials and entertainment.
- I am an example of the Lord's word in thought,
speech, action, and appearance.
- I participate in church meetings, and I participate in seminary where possible.
- I am learning from experience the blessing of work and of service.
- I am preparing to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood
- I am preparing to serve an honorable full time mission.
- I will live worthy to receive temple covenants and prepare to become a worthy husband and father.
- As I center my life in Christ and honor each covenant that I make with my Heavenly Father, I will fulfill the measure of my creation and receive the blessings of happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.
