1.Make monthly contact with each assigned sister. (Some sisters need more frequent in home visits than this minimum.)2.Seek the spirit in order to be an effective instructment in performing these assignments. (Pray about and for your sisters, especially before a visit.)
3.Develop helpful, friendly, trusting relationships with the sisters. Observe needs and help any emergency.
4.Give a scriptural message based on the visiting teaching articles printed in the Ensign.
5.Immediately report concerns to the Relief Society President.
6.Each month, report contacts to the visiting teacher supervisor or visiting teaching board member.
7.Each quarter report verbally on each of your assigned sisters to the Relief Society president or a counselor, or the secretary if requested by the president.
8.Attend baptisms of new members if you are assigned as a visiting teacher to them. Fellowship less-active and new member sisters.
