The Postman ... Part 2

"Bethlehem and the Honists pursue The Postman. As they tour the ravaged land they come upon the small town The Postman has just left. Bethlehem is incensed to see the American flag Lincoln has hung outside the Post Office. Soon he discovers Abby and is attracted to her. When her husband Michael attempts to interefere, he is killed and Abby is taken captive.

Unwitting Hero

"By a twist of fate, Bethelehem and The Postman come to battle. The Postman manages to rescue Abby but is wounded as they escape. After hiding during the winter, while The Postman's wound heals, Abby causes an "accident" that forces them to abandon their shelter. As they travel, they meet another rider. The woman tells them she is a Postal Carrier."

"As the Restored United States of America expands, the Postman and his followers use communication to reunite people.

No longer isolated at the hands of the Holnists, people regain hope for the future.

Meanwhile The Postman's relationship with the pregnant Abby develops.
Retreat

After a series of deaths and tragedies, the Postman decides it is time to close down the Postal Service. Afraid his followers will be killed because of him, he sends them all away. A small group travel together with the Postman and soon find a haven.

"But the Postman can't hide forever..."

"Realizing the only solution is to face the Holnists, led by Betlehem, in battle, the Postman gathers his army."
FINAL BATTLE

"Rather than risk the lives of those who have followed him, the Postman challenges Bethlehem for leadership. He displays the brand he was given while a prisoner of the Holnist. The brand gives him the right to challenge Bethlehem."

"In the end, the Postman's strength and courage carry him through. Bethlehem is deafeated and the Restored United States of America becomes a reality. But it is Ford Lincoln Mercury who lays down the laws for the future."
