9/20/11: White 1602 Knitting Machine For Sale - $150 - Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. For sale is
a used White 1602 knitting machine. It is the same as the Superba S48 machine made in France. The White
was simply a rebranded version for the U.S. market. This is the electronic version w/ the selector box
that takes mylar sheets for the knitted designs. I bought it used but never used it myself. I did a few
upgrades on it and did some minor maintenance, but it does need a thorough cleaning and oiling. The
selector box is not working ... I put in a new belt and changed all fuses, but still no power; so you
can use it for parts or find someone to fix it. It is also missing the drive shaft for the double bed
but I have seen that for sale on eBay. The bed and carriages seem to work fine. I've re-aligned the bed
spacing and made sure the J-Springs are in good working order. There are 5 missing needles from the
beds. It has the mylar pattern sheets (but no pattern sheet holder slipcase), and the large
cast-on-comb was never included; but that is easy to locate, as I believe the needles are. I believe
all the rest of the tools and accessories are there. There is no manual, but I can direct you to an
online manual from one of the several Suberba/White user groups. Otherwise, with a good deep cleaning,
I think you will have a serviceable manual machine or you can use it for parts for your own 1602 or
S48. I am asking $100. This is a final sale. The stand in the attached photo IS NOT included in the
sale. For pickup only. You may have a shipper pick it up and ship it to you at your expense.
