For my home base, my first and primary radio is a "Cobra 2000 GTL" modified (without the change over crystal) having a frequency range from 26.635 MHz to 27.885 MHz using a "Silver K Eagle" base mic with a "Palomar VC-100" voice processor inline. For a secondary radio, I have a "Cobra 148FGTL DX+" with a frequency range from 25.165 MHz to 29.665 MHz using an "Echo Master Plus" base mic. For a third radio, I have a "Galaxy Mirage 9900" modified with a frequency range from 25.165 MHz to 29.365 MHz using a "RF Limited EC-2024" handheld mic. All three radios run off a 3-way antenna splitter out to an "I-Max 2000". With steel pipe, the height is approx 54 feet between the ground and the top of the antenna. I also have a "Palomar 225" inline between the antenna splitter and the antenna. Oh and for a power supply (for the 148, 9900, VC-100, and the 225), I have a 20 amp "Pyramid PS-21KX".For right now, I decided not to have a mobile radio hooked up in my car. However, I do keep a small "Uniden Pro510XL" with a "Wilson 5000" magnet mount antenna in the trunk in case of emergencies.
