MESSAGE TO STUDENTS: This is your all-purpose, one stop Social Studies website. You will be able to access hundreds of excellent sites that will provide sources and information for research and school work. You are welcome to search other sites via Yahoo, Google, etc. Please advise me if you find a site you think should be added to our webpage.

YOU AND THIS CLASS

As a student in this class you will be given a LOT OF FREEDOM to learn things that interest you and to learn them in ways that you enjoy most. If you do not like to learn now WHAT'S MISSING?

You will have opportunities to think and explore what and how you like to learn. THERE IS NO ONE WAY TO LEARN. You are probably not aware that your favorite subjects or interests in life can be studied in this class. Do you love jewelry? You can study jewelry designs and how jewelry is made in other countries. Do you like horror movies? You can study the literature and lore of horror throughout the ages and compare it to modern day horror movies. Do you like motorcycles? You can research the beginnings and evolution of motorcycles and how they have evolved technologically. All of these topics are legitimate in a social studies class.

Are we feeling better now?
