Description

This project has the aim of setting up of Intranet between the two offices of Rubamin Systems. In this project we concentrated on the configuration of Exchange and Proxy so that total communication could be done between the two offices situated half a kilometre away through dial up. Also correspondence could be done through e-mail and also internet mail facility could be given to all the employees. On the same time we liked to give internet access to a selected users and also monitoring the office works by installing SMS. Full network security issues were taken care of, to provide high level network security.

Visiting card Management System (Web Enabled)

Description

This system keeps the details of the large numbers of visiting card available to the marketing department. The system needs all the visiting cards to be entered by some user. Anyone for becoming a user, had to get a username and password from the system, and a card is to be filled of his own so that the system could track the user who had done any changes in the data.

After getting an username he can now enter visiting cards to the system. This systems also provides three level of security, that is only the administrator could only delete the records, while normal user can just add in a data. And a non-user can just view the visiting cards. This system is designed with the Object Oriented Design (OOD) methodology and with the windows DNA Architecture advised by Microsoft. Components as well the desktop UI is built on VB 6.0. WebTop UI is done using Visual Interdev

Description

The Directory listing pattern of Yahoo and indexing criteria of search engines like Infoseek, Altavista, Excite, Webcrawler, Lycos, Hotbot were studied for preparing an optimum solution for all the search engines, for all the clients of Rubamin Systems. This method was so successful that the sites appeared in the top positions in Altavista, Webcrawler, Infoseek, Excite and appeared in the listing of Yahoo. While in other search engines they were at very respectable positions.
