Introduction: Every believer should have a hunger for God. I mean we all should want all we can get of God
There are three things every believer should be filled with:
I. FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT: Eph 5:18
A. Difference between the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and baptism of Holy Spirit
The filling of the Holy Spirit may occur many times. We are commanded to be filled with the Spirit
But the baptism takes place once and once only, at salvation.
B. How are we filled with Holy Spirit? We are to pray for the filling (Lk 11:13)
C. This filling is for the purpose of winning souls (Acts 1:8)
II. FILLED WITH THE WORD OF GOD: Col 3:16
A. By reading the Word everyday. Don't ever quit reading it.
B. By being a student of the Bible. Never be satisfied with what you already know
C. By memorizing the scriptures. We need to put in our mind before we can hide it in our hearts.
D. By meditating on the Word. Joshua found success and prospered by meditating on the Word.
III. FILLED WITH THE LOVE OF GOD: Eph 3:17-19
A. The Holy Spirit might shed abroad the love of God through us. It comes when we are yielded to the filling
of the Holy Spirit in our life.
B. It is the kind of love Christ had for us that we should show forth to others.
C. It is the kind of love that others may see Christ in us
