Walking With God
Gen 5:21-24; Heb 11:5-6

Introduction: There is not a lot of space in the Bible telling about the great feats of Enoch. However, we should be reminded of a saying, "It is not how much is said about a person that counts, but what is said."

Not a lot of words, but the testimony is tremendous!

I. What It Means To Walk With God:

A. It means to be in agreement with God
    1. About sin
    2. About salvation
    3. About service
    4. About giving
    5. About dedication
    6. About prayer

B. It means unbroken fellowship
    1. Isa 59:2 - "But your inquities have separated between you and your God, and your SINS have hidden his face from you, that he will not hear."

C. It means an awareness of His presence:
    1. He is with us all the time.

II. How May One Walk With God:

A. There must be the relationship
    1. No one can walk with God unless they know Him as Savior

B. There must be a judging of sin on our part
    1. I John 1:9 "IF we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrightousness."

C. We must follow His leading:
    1. Matthew 16:24 "then said Jesus unto His disciples, if any man WILL come after me, let him DENY himself, and take up his CROSS (speaks of death) and follow me"
    2. He must lead us! We must be willing to follow. But note: We must deny somethings in our lives and we must "put to death" some things (die out to).
    3. He wishes to lead in every phase of our lives. We must be willing to allow him to do that. We must not run ahead of him like horse, neither should be lag behind like mules. We should be willing to walk side-by-side each and every day.

III. What Are The Results In Walking With God:
A. It pleases God - Hebrews 11:6

C. It brings great joy - Psa 16:11

D. We become more like Him
