What Are We Up To??

I thought it might be kind of cool to let everyone in on what it is that makes 'Lazy Sunday' tick. Since we just got together a week or two ago I don't really know what Tom is into but I've spent many hours with the rest of the guys on tour and I think I've got a good idea what they're into.
Every band has to have a straight arrow in the bunch. To our credit we follow this strict rule of the music business. Derek, our drummer, is our sanity. He is the one who keeps calm, keeps clean, and to his incredible credit...stays sober. TRUST ME, with this band that is a major accomplishment. If it wasn't for Derek would be in deep SHIT!! As for the rest of us, we all like to party and have a good time. We are not by any means saying that you have to be drunk or stoned to have a good time but we do like to ham it up. When on tour, Nathan, Steve, and Rian can be found at select clubs in the areas we're in. I'll let everyone in a little secret. We found the best watering hole in Southern Ontario. It's called the "Ridout". Thanks to a good friend of the band, Adam McCarthy, we hit this place on BIG ASS BEER GLASS night. Five bucks and you get a BIG ASS BEER GLASS full to the top with sparkling golden BEEEEEER. For the rest of the evening it's $2.50 a refill. Best of all you get to keep the glass. Come back the next week and it's $2.50 a beer.

Musically we all enjoy a very wide range of music. Nathan is the blues man. He gets down and dirty to Wide Mouth Mason. Tom is the punk man of the band. He loves to get the shit beat out of him at Jeezus Lizard concerts and loves the Melvins. As for Derek, if it's good he likes it. He's big into Mathew Good Band, Fiona Apple and Counting Crows. Steve listens to just about anything. A big fan of melodic rock, Steve is a big supporter of Canadian music. Age of Electric, Glueleg, I Mother Earth (who announced today they have a new singer!!!!), and any Ottawa band that invites him to a show. I (Rian) rock out to Ben Folds Five, Nixons, Glueleg, The Hip, and the newest addition to my CD collection, FINGER ELEVEN.
