Rantings of a dyke in therapy- Feb 98

There's no place like home

Friday, 13th of February, '98

Wow. Look at that- halfway through February and I haven't even written anything yet. I haven't had time to even think during the past two weeks. I have been very stressed at school- waiting to see what would happen with my class- (which ended up being split). I was offered a maternity leave position from term 2 onwards, then it was taken away from me, and finally given back. (Apparently they made a mistake with the numbers!) It has been a very emotional time. I have had problems with Kate and her behaviour, and I am very exhausted from getting up at 5:30 every day. Last week I changed my therapy day to Saturday, but I ended up going on Tuesday as well, and will be going twice a week for a while (who knows how long). I had an exceptionally bad night last night, and ended up drinking nearly a bottle of wine, which is very unusual for me.

Today is the first day that I am actually feeling OK. I don't think I have yelled at Kate even once. I had a great time at school- I was on a 5/6 team teaching class. I an officially employed until the end of next week, whether there is casual work available or not, I just have to turn up each day. I am trying not to be too stressed about that, although I find it very difficult to 'pull a lesson out of my hat' so to speak. I have lost a couple of kilos from being so stressed (which is good!). Now I just have to keep them lost!.
