OBJECTIVE:
Seeking a postdoctoral position in Washington metropolitan area where I could make use of my experience in epidemiology, in laboratory, in biostatistics and in prevention in the field of Occupational Medicine.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
1. Medical R&D
- medical and laboratory examinations (EKG, functional respiratory tests, bronchial hyper reactivity test, spermogramms, computed questionnaires)
- analyzed, designed and conducted surveys to determine the health status of exposed workers through biotoxicological determinations and recommended preventive measures in different professional exposures: non-ferrous metallurgy, petrochemical, light and wood industry, organic solvents, fluorine and fluorides, dusts (oak wood, silicon carbide)
- monitored the level of noxious agents in the air of the above mentioned workplaces
- solved particular problems in different factories concerning the health status of exposed workers e.g.: changing the workplace of female workers during their fertile period, improving the enamel recipes, which resulted in reduction of the skin and respiratory irritations, hospitalizations
- coordinated the teamwork in scientific research
- conceived epidemiological methods regarding fertility evaluations on exposed workers and the prevalence of chronic bronchitis in professional exposures
- coordinated fertility studies in different exposures to noxious agents and morbidity studies in light industries with preponderant female employees
- collaborated with the Occupational Medicine Hospital to optimize the recovery of exposed workers
- negotiated certain research contracts with different factories (Suplacu pe Barcau, Balan, Corund in Romania)
2. Health training & management:
- planned yearly activity and scheduled program for the epidemiological laboratory
- trained doctors from health services of the plants
- controlled and supervised the activity of the Inspectorate of Public Health in the field of Occupational Medicine in Bihor, Covasna and Harghita counties, Romania
- instructed and tested physicians from factories on important occupational medicine problems, improving the workers' assistance in health problems
- instructed employees from different workplaces; the results of the medical and laboratory examinations were communicated to the workers and sanitary education was given.
3. Public Relations:
- participated in several national and international congresses and symposia in Occupational Medicine
- established and consolidated collaborations with domestic and foreign researchers from Bucharest, Iasi, Timisoara (Romania), Hungary, France, Italy
- translated scientific literature from English and French for in-house purposes and interpreted in Hungarian and Romanian
