What is Lucid Dreaming?
The term "Lucid Dreaming" is often used to describe the act of dreaming while being aware that you are dreaming. Usually you will have full sensory input in this kind of dreaming, which means that you perceive and interact with your dream world in a similar way to how you interact in your daily lives.

What are the features of lucid dream?
You may find that lucid dreams tend to be of short duration, and instability is quite common. You may find that quality of vividness varies from one lucid dream to another. However, there are some simple techniques that can be used to improve the quality of a lucid dream, for example, looking at your dream hands. Almost anything is possible in a lucid dream, for instance, you can often fly, and merely thinking about another person is usually enough to manifest that person in the dream.

How can I induce lucid dream?
The ability to dream lucidly is not a gift a person is born with, but rather, a skill that can be learned by anyone and there are many techniques to induce a lucid dream. However, consistent, good dreamrecall appears to be an important prerequisite for inducing a lucid dream. You will also need to train your subconscious mind to activate your conscious mind while dreaming. To train your subconsciousness you can use strong suggestions or affirmations, do dream- reality tests, train your subsconsciousness to look for frequent reoccurring dream signs, or merely fall asleep consciously.
One of the main ideas is to find a central focus that will be flagged as urgent for you. For example, programming your dream self to look for a red barn then, for your subconscious dream self to alert your conscious mind when it sees that red barn. Keep in mind however, that the techniques themselves are not recipes that always work, but they are the real requirements for success in lucid dreaming. There are other ways of improving your chances of having a lucid dream. For example, taking a late afternoon naps, or waking yourself after three or four hours of sleep and then resuming your sleep, are two ways of using the body's natural processes to assist in lucid dreaming.

What can I expect from lucid dreams?
Lucid dreams are such a unique experiences that they can have great impact on one's mind. Lucid dreaming can give you the feeling of having capability of leading a double life, of doing more than you are able to ina normal waking day. Furthermore, lucid dreaming can have effect on the psychological state, resulting in a more calm and stable physical life. Lucid dreaming can also eliminate nightmares due to the dreamer's ability to control the dream and thereby consciously solving the problem presented in dream experince. The more experienced lucid dreamers can practise dream aided study, create their own dream therapists and healers who can help them solve personal problems, or use lucid dreams as springboard for other altered states of consciousness which allow a person to expand into another dimensions. You will find the experience full of excitement, wonder and wisdom.
