Profession: Diplomat Career: Politician
Lord Zarak comes from the planet of Nebulos, a world, that up until recently,
had not known the ravages of war for centuries. Then the Transformers came, and
they brought their age old conflict with them. He distrusted the Autobots, who were
the first to arrive and therefore, in his eyes, responsible for the war raging accross his
planet. When his political rival called for an alliance with the Autobots, Zarak labelled
Galen mad, and accused him of treason. When Galen sided with the Autobots and
underwent the Headmaster process, Zarak had no choice but to do likewise with the
decepticons, for the safety of his planet was at sake. Once joined with Scorponok, he
finally realised his folly, for in truth, he had become Nebulos' greatest traitor.
When the toll of their war hit home, both Galen and Zarak decided to take the
fight somewhere else. They went to earth, a world that had played host to the
Transformers for four million years. Although Galen soon died after his arrival, Lord
Zarak, as Scorponok, became leader of the Decepticons there, for at that time, they
had no leader. But he was due for much greater deeds than this alone. For on
Cybertron, the Autobots under the command of Grimlock, and the Decepticons lead
by Bludgeon, had an encounter that resulted in the awakening of their god "Primus"
which in turn, attracted the attention of the choas god called "Unicron."
Grimlock alerted Optimus Prime of this development, and he called for an end
to the civil war between the Transformers. For a legend stated that if they stood united
as one force for good, they could defeat the chaos bringer. Prime surrendered to
Scorponok, who used this to further cement his position as leader. But after a battle
with Shockwave and Starscream, and then a discussion with prime, Zarak realised that
his actions would not only doom Cybertron, but the whole galaxy, including Nebulos,
as well. The conflict was over and they were taken to Cybertron.
Scorponok/Zarak experienced many feelings when Unicron loomed in the sky,
fear of the monster that would surely kill him, anger at himself for being such a
coward, grief for the Transformers (Autobot and Decepticon alike) that lay about
dying, fear of death, anger at Unicron, and finally regret that he could do no more
when he lay dying at Prime's feet. He became more heroic than many Autobots that
fight under that banner. But like Megatron and Prime will attest, "death" is
inconceivable to a Transformer, it just makes them meaner. Lord Zarak may have
been born a man, but in the end, he was a Transformer. And like many that have died
before, he walks again.
Many believe that technology similar to the Pretender process, was used to
bring Lord Zarak back to "life" as his body was, by all reports, melted by Unicron. It
is quite clear that his health is unnatural, for he has the physical abilities of a man at
his peak, and Zarak is far beyond that. Although he still wears his Headmaster armor
from time to time, Scorponok is yet to resurface, what this indicates is not known.
What is known, is that upon his return to Earth, he has maintained a low profile.
Spike Witwicky
Profession: Tech Op Career: Space craft Student
Spike is not the first man to transform into the head of Fort Max. Galen had
that honour. But it was an honour short lived, for soon after his arrival on Earth, he
would have a fight with Scorponok, which would lead to his death.
