The 2nd South Carolina Co. B Butler Guard is the oldest reenactment unit in the state of South Carolina. The reputation of the 2nd became known throughout the war and served in most major engagements including Sharpsburg, Gettysburg, Fredericksburg, Chickamauga, and at Bentonville. We properly honor these brave men who fought with the Butler Guard through our living histories, reenactments and educational programs.
