NEW BOOTLEG RELEASE

There is a new CD bootleg available entitled "Forever Live". Not much information on the CD is available at this time but the title suggests that it will contain live performances from the few 1996 shows which were held last year. Kiss the Stone (recording lable) is also releasing a similar CD soon entitled "Dreaming". Live in Toronto is the original name for a new bootleg featuring the Cranberries, live in Toronto! The FTD tour again!

FERGALS GETTING MARRIED

Fergal and his fiancee have set the date: 2 April, 1997! Good luck and congratulations!

NEXT SINGLE

Hollywood is rumoured to be the last release from the To The Faithful Departed album. It has been previously suggested the next release will be War Child. There have also been mentionings of Forever Yellow Skies and Electric Blue. Sorry but no information available yet. I'll keep you posted!

A FEW CLARIFYING STATEMENTS

1) The European Tour was cancelled on September 19th officially due to Dolores' doctors advising her that she was too weak and fragile to handle the stress of a two month, 37 show tour. The tour will not be rescheduled.

2) Dolores does not have anorexia. She is underweight and physically drained and we think it is from the tour and physiotherapy of keeping the knee fit after Australia. She worked hard to please the fans and everything caught up with her...until the Doctors said,"stop".

3) The band has not broken up. These rumors have been going on for years, now. The band is fully supportive of Dolores getting her health back and have decided to wait until she is 100% and they will begin working when they are ready.

4) The band don't do drugs, they like a pint of Guiness, but that's about it.

FTD TOUR UPDATE

The rumours are not true, the tour will not be reschedualed. The band are in dire need of a rest and that is what they are having. They apologise to all their fans who missed out on the tour, but hope they can understand it was cancelled due to justified reasons. They are looking forward to Dolores' recovery and the future tour to promote their next album. No information is available on this album yet.

CANCELLED = BABY

Dolores' knee and other illnesses have caused the berries to cancel all remaining dates in the tour.  It's not official but Dolores also may be taking a year off, possibly to have a baby.  If this doesn't happen the new album will be recorded in the spring.

FREE TO DECIDE TOUR CANCELLED

It is true the Cranberries have cancelled their huge Free To Decide tour. Millions of people World wide will be left distrought today as the Cranberries anounce it must be cancelled due to Dolores' ill-health. The whole group need a rest: "It seems as if they have been touring non-stop since their first album," said Dolores mother. The rumours hsve been denied that Dolores is anorexic. She has been suffering from flu and exhaustion. "Dolores is having troubles coping with the tough schedule. She would have a long session of phsiotherapy, (for her knee,) do sound checks, interviews and finally perform the concert. Then she would be at the parties all night and was having to contend with flu, which she couldn't seem to shake." (Dolores denies partying 24 hours, which was a statement on a news broadcst) She says: "This is something that happened we are all very tired and haven't been able to sleep enough, we hope fans will understand and wish us a quick recovery, and not be too upset." Doctors ordered (CRANBERRIES singer Dolores) O'Riordan to refrain from performing due to medical considerations". O'Riordan is currently recuperating from knee and leg injuries, and her health was suffering as a result of their hectic touring schedule.

FAN EMPORIUM TAKES ON THE CRANBERRIES!

Fan Emporium has officially been assigned to handle all of the Cranberries Fan Club matters, which is a bit of a disappointment considering their rushed, lousy quality of work that has a  habit of not showing up until it's months overdue. Regardless, you can find out about the Fan Club by visiting the Web Site: http://www.fanemporium.com/cranberries.htm

AUSTRALIAN TOUR CANCELLED

Dolores once again starting having problems with her knee in Cairns, Australia, and was sent back to Ireland to have surgery, which forced The Cranberries to cancel the remainer of the Australian dates, and a few in Asia, some which may be rescheduled in 1997, but most of which will be cancelled.  Dolores is expected to be all right for August, so the planned US and Canada dates are still expected to go on, as of now.

CRANBERRIES CAUSE A RIOT!

The cancellation of a Cranberries gig sparked off a riot in Washington D.C. last month with police being called in to disperse rock and bottle-throwing fans.

The violence erupted as the band attempted to play a free outdoor concert near the Washington monument. The organisers had expected a crowd of 3,000 but as the gig got underway the number had swelled to nearer 12,000.

"Everyone was pushing to get a better view and people down the front were being crushed," says a police spokesman. "We had an emergency meeting with the promoter and he agreed there was no alternative but to pull the band off. A small section of the crowd responded to this by throwing missiles and we had to move in to restore order which we did pretty quickly. One person was arrested for disorderly conduct and, as far as I’m aware, two had to be treated for minor injuries."

Meanwhile, those of you with a fresly-peroxided barnet will be distressed to hear that Dolores O’Riordan has gone brunette for the band’s upcoming Irish tour which takes them to the Mayfield Leisure Centre, Belfast (1st); The Point, Dublin (June 2nd); and Mill Street, Cork (4th).

"There’s no photographic evidence yet but I’m told she looks brilliant," says the Cranberries Irish publicist Lynn Fitzgerald. "The band generally are in excellent form - they’ve been looking forward to these dates ever since they had to be re-arranged at Christmas and they’ve just heard that on their next American tour they’ll be stepping up from 7,000 to 15,000 seaters. In fact, their New York show is a complete sell-out and the tickets have only been available for a week."
