In addition to cross stitching I also quilt. I find it to be very relaxing and another way to express my love of color. I wish I had more pictures to share with you but most of the quilts I have made have been given as gifts and I don't have pictures of them. From now on I will be taking pictures and putting them here to share. Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments or quilt related ideas.

This is my daughter Ilana holding a quilted checkerboard that I made as a birthday gift for a friend who is a boy scout leader.

These are the accessories that go with the board, a bag to hold the buttons used as checkers and a bag to hold the board.

Here is a picture of me with my daughter, who is my inspiration in life.

I am in an internet quilt block swap. Our theme is Critters. I chose to do this parrot because parrots are Ilana's favorite birds. Blocks must be 12.5" unfinished. This is my second time participating in the Critter Swap and I am anxious to see what I get in exchange for my 10 blocks.

I have been interested in paper piecing for a while now but the written instructions made no sense to me. I learned that my friend Tish could paper piece and she very graciously taught me how. This is the first block I made. It is called a "Square in a Square". Thank you Tish for opening up a whole new world to me. I am having so much fun with this.

This picture is of a quilt Tina Moy is hand quilting. The cute young man is her son Nathan. He has claimed the quilt as his, but I think Tina has other plans for it. Tina and I have started swapping fabrics and patterns and are enjoying our dual interests of cross stitching and quilting.
