Claudia: Sweet Daughter Death

Mine eyes dazzle
She died young
Shadows fall gently around you. Night embraces you, smooth as satin,
soft as velvet. The moon casts an eerie yellow glow, and you know that
something is going to happen. Your breath comes in shallow, expectant
gasps, and then you hear it... It comes very softly, at first, but then
it grows louder. Slowly, you realize what it is: the clicking of heels
upon the cobblestones, coming steadily towards you. What you see halts
your hastening footsteps. You stop perfectly still, as if in a trance.
A child approaches you, a perfect, beautiful child. Her hair shines
like some supernatural light in the darkness. She moves like a woman,
and when her eyes meet yours, you see knowledge beyond your comprehension.
In her golden curls, she has a single blood red rose, which she now removes.
She holds it out to you, and you slowly, and hesitantly, approach her, to accept it.
You take the rose from her, and bend down on one knee, to meet her eyes
at her level. You gaze at her doll-like face, and feel compelled to
embrace her. You draw her to yourself, not knowing that you hold death
in your arms. She rests her head upon your shoulder, and then you feel
it, different from any other sensation that you've ever felt before.
Pleasure washes over you, and only then, as you feel your life draining
away, do you realize your fatal mistake. Only then do you realize that
you've fallen into the arms of...
