Your sitting waiting for a friend to show,
You watch the clock, the hands move slow,
Maybe you’ve waited an hour or more,
Just waiting for that bell on the door,
The doorbell rings, with scurrying feet,
You rush to the door your friend to greet.
The door is open, she’s standing there,
All you can do is stand and stare,
She says I’m sorry for being so late,
I really hope I did not make you wait.
