Methos' Friends...and irritations.

Well where should I start. Hmmm...I guess we should start with the Boyscout. Otherwise known as Duncan MacLeod. Highlander.

That's him. MacLeod. He's an ok guy. 'Cept he's got way too many moral hangups. He has to be the world's oldest living Boyscout. Trust me at 406 I think he pretty much has that title cinched. Well what should we tell you about Mac. Hmmm...well you already know how old he is and what he looks like. So some of his history would be good huh? Well he was born in Glenfinnan I think. On the winter solstice in 1592. He was found in the woods and raised by Ian MacLeod and his wife. Unfortunately for poor Mac, when he died his first death his father was less than supportive. He believed his son to be a demon and disowned him, casting him out of the clan MacLeod. Mac was found and tutored in the ways of Immortality and The Game by a clansman. Connor. Who was about a hundred years older than him. Duncan had heard about Connor when he was growing up but he thought it was an old wives tale. Well so much for the old wives tale bit. Anyway, Mac's travelled around a bit. Seems to have met just about everyone. Ex. Picasso.

Mac's proven to be a redeeming factor in the Old Man's life and is probably one of Methos' best friends. Duncan's helped Methos out of some pretty tight spots and, despite a small problem with the Horsemen, they're quite close.

That's Joe. He's a Watcher. Mac's Watcher in fact. He met Methos when the Old Man was masquerading as Adam Pierson, head researcher on the Methos Chronicles. (Pretty cushy set up. Methos was in charge of finding himself and we know he did exactly the opposite ) Anyway, the rules go that Watchers are forbidden to have any contact with their Immortals. Which mean's his friendship with Mac is a serious no-no. Not that Joe cares. Joe's a great guy. He lost his legs in Vietnam and was recruited into the Watchers after he saw one of his troop mates come back to life. Joe plays the blues. (Very well I might add) and owns two blues clubs. (I'm not sure if he gives up the American one so I'll assume he didn't. Sides I like it) Joe's is the club in the States. And Le Blues Bar is the one in Paris. Joe has a daughter, who is also a Watcher, but right now their relationship is kinda shaky (being she just found out he's her father.) Her name's Amy.

Richie Ryan is Mac's student. But unfortunately during the 5th season ep. "Archangel" (Ack! SPIT!) Mac offed him. We'll ignore that for fanfic purposes. (When the rules don't suit you. Change 'em) We don't know much about Richie's childhood. He was raised in foster care and kept getting in trouble although at one point he stayed with a nice family and became friends with their daughter Maria. (Chivalry)Richie has a bad habit of falling for female Immortals with very dark sides. Exhibit A: Kristin. (Also Chivalry)But he's a sweetie so in a fanfic posted to this site I gave him a nice Immortal girlfriend. Based on a good friend of mine who's a major Richie Fan. Anyway Richie met Mac when he broke into Mac's antique shop. (The Gathering)And Mac took him in. He became Immortal after being shot in a robbery that also killed Mac's love of twelve years. Tessa. Richie's grown up to be quite a great guy and because of that I completely disregard the episode "Archangel" (Ack! Spit!)

We'll start with Laurel McKennon. Laurel McKennon

Laurel McKennon is an old friend of Duncan's and has known Methos for quite some time but hadn't seen him for a few decades when she dropped into Paris to visit her favorite Highlander and found him there.

Meet Madalena Carriera-Morales. A 750 yr. Old Spaniard. She's a friend of Methos, Connor and Duncan. (And for a few years was more than a friend of Connor's but that's ancient history. Literally) Maddie's going to be appearing in a few Sentinel fanfic I'm writing. They'll be finished soon hopefully. Her profile is also on this page.)

Meet Ling. Her profile'll be up soon. IE when I get it done. In the meantime you can smile at her picture. *grins* Basic background. Methos met Ling in the Bronze Age when the Horsemen tried to invade Chin. Ling's teacher prevented them with a little help from his students. Rather than kill them (as he was a healer and tried to avoid taking life) he put a dagger into the hearts of Kronos and Caspian and sent them away with his students thus seperating the Horsemen. He kept Silas and Methos. Silas was happy enough working with the animals and Methos... well Methos had much promise. Although their friendship had a *very* bumpy beginning, it has lasted them most of their lives and now (in the story called Falling Is Like This which is on my fic page) they find more.

Most likely two more female Immies and one Male I'm toying with. Sadeh, an over three thousand year old Egyptian (Who appears in a Stargate Series I may write. She's Jack's mommy. ) and Hadassah (a several thousand year old Hebrew) then last but not least. Jurgen (yes the guy from Nikita. I liked him so I may have the guy turn Immortal. Much better than that Kell guy doncha think?)
