This is a gothic dictionary that will help you better understand gothic culture. I have picked some terms that I feel are important to know if you are gothic or are becoming a goth. Some of these I am sure you will aready know and are simple terms, but that is ok. Just a quick note, I do not believe in all these defintions and some disagree. I hope that none of these words offend you in anyway.

Bat- nocturnal flying mammal

Cemetery- a place for buring the dead, a place for goths to go : )

Casket- coffin for dead

Dead- No longer alive

Death- The act of dying, the state of being dead

Death MArch- a slow, solemn march played at funerals.

Devil- Major spirit of evil

EVIL-morally wrong or bad, wicked

Goth-( from the Websters) A member of a Germanic people who invaded the Roman empire during the early christan era.

Gothic-( from the websters) Of or relating to a style of fiction empasizing the grotesque, mysterious and desolate. B)A form of Archietexture.

Gothic-(noun) A style of Rock Music characterized by the intense or droning blennd of guitar , bass, and drums, often with mystical or apocalyyptic lyrics. A follower of this form of music mainly has a white pale look, and wears mostly all black clothing.

Hell- The abode of the dead in the ancient traditions,( Underworld)

Horror-A strong painful feeling of fear, intense dislike

Serpent- a snake or another word for devil.

Seraphim- An angel in the highest rank in the nine orders of angels
