Americana's Gone Gold

Evan Orr of Cash Lovell Stables up, January 2005.

Norman's Show Record

From the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, to local shows such as Huntsville, Mo.; Norman has consistantly shown in the top ribbons at each show he has attended. Due to owner's preference to show young horses lightly, his Reserve Champion placing in the 2002 GASHA 2 Year Old Futurity highlights his first year's ribbons. His debut in performance classes as a 3 Year Old in 2003 was highly anticipated. Last fall[03], he was first in Open Driving at the William Woods University Fall Show and there were several comments on his maturity, manners and good looks. Recently he was third in the ASB Park class at the WWU Winter Fun Show[04]. He is expected to show at larger shows in 2004, but a somewhat limited show schedule is expected as the owner is with child. His latest placing was third in Three-Gaited Open in the Prairie Home Fair. His show schedule for 2005 includes local shows and travelling to the Iowa State Fair [August] and the Blue Ribbon show in Ohio [October] with his first foals in tow. Results for his foals will be included here.

This handsome young stallion is athletic, smart, personable, and well-mannered and is expected to stamp these qualities on his foals. This Spring he will be nominated to several Futurities, and others will be added upon request. See the bottom of the page for futurity nominations listings.

Norman's Bloodlines and Relatives

MALE LINE

SIRE: ANACACHO'S GOLDEN CADILLAC

Anacacho's Golden Cadillac, with over 31 registered foals, posess up close the bloodlines of CH Wing Commander and Stonewall King. His get are tall, athletic and are often gaited horses upon maturity. Cadillac, having been a three times futurity winner himself, has produced two futurity champions, and one reserve champion. Additionally, his filly Beau’s High Sierra was in the top ribbons at the 2001 Iowa State Fair Weanling Filly Futurity.

FEMALE LINE

DAM: SULTAN'S AMERICAN ROSE

Sultan's American Rose, was herself not shown. However, she is considered one of Buresh Farm's premiere broodmares and her foals are highly sought after. Her offspring have primarily been fillies, with two stallions and one gelding to her credit. Norman's full sister is in training and is expected to become a strong contender in the gaited division this spring [04].

DAM'S SIRE: SULTAN'S AMERICANA

Sired by one of the most well-known stallions in the breed; Sultan's Americana has himself produced numerous champions and winners. His get include: CH Belle Mar's True Blue, CH Wing's Americana, CH Seamair's Executive Sweet, CH Born To Be Blue, and CH Americana's Jazz Man along with many others.

DAM'S GRANDSIRE: SUPREME SULTAN

Supreme Sultan led the stallion ratings for many years and his influence is still greatly felt today through a number of world’s champion producing sons. He is immortalized in bronze by reknown artist Patricia Crane in front of the American Saddle Horse Museum in Kentucky.

He sired the recently deceased Sultan’s Starmaker who gained an early reputation as a futurity sire producing many beautiful foals. And also like many in the Sultan line it took years before he was appreciated as a performance sire as well. In Saddle Horse Report’s recent World’s Champion Sire Rating, Sultan’s Starmaker was tied as the sixth overall sire of world’s champion performers, also ranking number three in both the five-gaited and three-gaited divisions. His current winners included Junior Exhibitor Five-Gaited 13 & Under World’s Grand Champion Tyler, the noted junior gaited performer Starmaker’s Triton, Three-Gaited Pony World’s Grand Champion Simbara’s Audacity, Amateur Three-Gaited 15.2 & Over Reserve World’s Champion The Irish Lord, the many times three-gaited champion Biras Creek, and the champion park horse Killian. In addition to the above stars, his previous world and reserve world’s champions include Touch The Stars, Gone East, Like Fine Wine, Starmaker’s Southern Star, Coming Out, Starmaker’s Bouquet, Starmaker’s High Heels, The Star Of The Show, Timely Affair, Valhalla’s Valentino, Almond Joy, Starmaker’s Look At Me, Tortola, Albelarm Elegant Lady, and Clover Hill’s Cohiba.
