Hypnotherapy: A conventional Medical Therapy

Hypnotherapy has been approved as a safe and effective medical treatment by the British Medical Association since 1951, the American Medical Association since 1958, and the American Psychological Association since 1960.

Text Box: Did You Know:

  • All Hypnosis is Self-Hypnosis. No one can place you in hypnosis, except you.
  • The hypnotherapist acts as a guide or teacher, showing you how to put yourself into and take yourself out of the hypnotic state.
  • You control when, if, and how deep you go into hypnosis and your unconscious mind will never let you go deeper than is appropriate for you at that particular time.
  • You are completely in control during hypnotherapy; you have the ability to accept or reject any or all suggestions given to you while in hypnosis.
  • In hypnotherapy, you are hyper-alert and aware of everything around you. Suggestions are often given, to use these outside sounds, thoughts or feelings to help you to go deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.
  • Hypnotherapy is an extremely powerful tool that can be used to help you accomplish many things. However, like any tool it will not do all of the work for you. It is a tool that you have to use, and if you choose to do so the results can indeed be spectacular and rewarding.
