News Story

When Pranks go too far....

On the morning of June 18, 2003, Northen Plehigh Middle School underwent a numorous amount of pranks. This was the last day of school for the students, and for some, this called for revenge. The school was outlined by thin lines of toothpaste, which made the janitors quite unhappy. There were three pigs found roaming around the school. They were labled with numbers: One, Two, and Four. The third one has not been found. Some suspect There is no third. Pizza Delivery Boys were outside the school entrance, waiting to deliver food that was not ordered by the faculty. Students were coming in to school unexpecting this type of vandislism.

Many students thought the pranks were quite humorous. Some say the students ( as we suspect) had done this to gain "revenge" on the teachers had given them a hard time throughout the 2002-2003 school year. Some say this is what happens when kids are not happy attending school. Others suggest that this was an act of a dare or for pure fun. The faculty, of course, is very upset.

" I can't believe this would happen. Who would do such a thing? I mean, is fun to pull a practical joke, but this just goes over the line!" Says Mrs. Mathteacher, one of the 7th grade science teachers.

It was seven in the morning, when the secretary and local janitors attend to the school to open it. Everything was pretty much normal, except for the toothpaste that seemed to attach to the janitor's shoes. Getting angry he took off his shoe and continued inside to the bathrooms. Passing by the lockers, the janitor noticed paint lineing on the lockers. He started to mumble under his breathe in his rage. The secretary wasn't so lucky. She had been walking into the office, and noticed a pig sprinting around her desk. In her surprise, she screamed and stood on the desk, trying to sweep away the pig with a broom. She had managed to call the police as the janitor tried to catch the pig.

" I thought whoever did it was guiness! The pranks are halarious!" praised Jimmy Flimmy, a student attending the school.

Thereafter, the police came and searched the building. The back of the school had been completey vandilised. Spray paint and whip cream dripped from the lockers. Crickets had been found in the teacher's desks and the Family and Consumer Science room had been "trashed". Silly string littered the ground. Students enjoyed the last day of school being called off.

"I think the person/group who had performed the pranks is remarkable. I show my respect," approved Garry Terry, an 8th grade student attending Northen Plehigh Middle School.

School had been called off that day. The school had to spend the day cleaning up the mess and trying to find out what had happened. Most the students seemed to enjoy the extra day added to their summer. The police chuckled while inspecting the trashed school.

"They are just teens. You can't blame them. I thought the pranks were quite clever. It brang me back to the old days where..." Said Officier Jones, who happened to trail off to his childhood.

There were a total of 26 different types of pranks pulled at the school. No major/pernement damage was done. Locals chuckle after hearing what had happend. The princible thinks the one(s) who had poured honey all over her desk, should be punished to the fullest. The assitence was very angry and would not answer to the press.
