Dwight jammin' it up for you!

Dwight is originally an accomplished guitar player, since he started playing at the age of 5 (1976), and began performing live at the age of 14. He is, aswell, an accomplished bassist since the age of 15. He has performed with several local group projects over the years and comes from the genre backgrounds of classic and hard rock to heavy metal and blues bands, and has quite an extensive past experience in popular "50's" and country genres, though his heart is deeply seeded in the southern rock/blues genre.

Some of his past projects include Black Widow, Beggars Trip, Shattered Reality, Residential Disturbance, and Bracer, in which he was the founding guitarist of those projects and was the original bassist for such groups as TCMB, which was a 50's based music group and The Silverado Band, which was an all originals southern rock-country group playing some of the old favorite classic rock and country cover tunes.

Dwight is no stranger to the stage and club scenes in the Southern Maryland and Mid-Atlantic region. He has spent many years in the local clubs and studios with several demos and recordings to his discography. He is well versed in the functions and operations of stage and studio and has offered his talents to many Southern Maryland based groups as a fill-in musician and has sat in as a studio session player for several projects pertaining to local artists and groups performing demo recordings. Adding to his public performance roster, Dwight is a veteran contestant of the annual guitar contests sponsored by Hot Licks Guitar Shop in Waldorf, Maryland. The contests were held annually for about 11 years and he entered all but 2 of those contests. Never quite able to obtain a winning spot, he was able to place 16th out of 38 contestants during the course of the events. Though, a very modest musician, Dwights adds, "better than half does deserve some small amount of bragging rights".

Taking his musicianship and professionalism as a musician to higher levels, Dwight has spent many years and countless hours pursuing better understandings of the "behind the scenes business end" of the music scene. Through many years of experience, and receiving certificates of course completion from The Performing Arts Alliance: Music Law, The Performing Arts Alliance: Business Solutions - Management, and The Performing Arts Alliance Business Solutions: Music Promotion/Marketing, he has gone to great lengths to learn and better understand the art of dealings in music law, music promotion strategies, and overall business issues of the industry. When it comes to being a performer and musician, that's one thing, but when it comes to protecting your future career as a musician,"You'd Better get it in writing!"

...Now with all that aside...

Dwight has spent many years performing in local Southern Maryland venues, aswell as Mid-Atlantic regional venues, and has also spent a large portion of that time trying to get into the minds of the audiences in the these areas and make the greatest of efforts to find out exactly what people want to get from their experiences from their local music scene when they go out to see local bands and musicians perform. Dwight is very much a veteran performer of the Southern Maryland music scene, and at the same time, he is very much a researcher into the theories of what makes a better experience for audience members, "You can just be a musician, or you can be a musician with the right marketing tools"

With extensive knowledge gained from years of consistant questioning and polling of the audiences in the area, he decided to take it one further step in supporting the music scene in the Southern Maryland area and therefore, Dwight is expressing his support for the music scene by creating a "one of a kind" online resource devoted to the local music scene in the tri-county areas of Charles, St.Marys, and Calvert Counties of Southern Maryland.

The goal of this project is to bring every band, musician, and audience member together at one central location in the area to share their thoughts and opinions regarding Southern Marylands music scene in order for those partcipants to learn from each other and with this knowledge, make the Southern Maryland music the best experience it can be for everyone
