The Mid-Atlantic Chapter operates under a charter granted by the Professional Car Society, Inc., a worldwide group of admirers of the craftsmanship displayed in the design and manufacture of vintage funeral, rescue, and livery vehicles. The Chapter serves PCS Members in Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, northern Virginia, southeastern Pennsylvania, and southern New Jersey.

Membership in PCS is a prerequisite to membership in any of its Chapters. A link to the national club's membership form is shown below. Note that ownership of a professional car is not required for membership. Applicants are encouraged to provide a photograph of their car(s) with their application.
