So, Rachel, where DID you get this idea?
I'll be honest, I used to think music videos were stupid, then I actually watched them. They're really cool! I wanted to do something, but I wanted something simple to start out with and I don't have a video capture card (see disclaimer). So, thanks to a little brainstorming with my friend Amanda, we came up with MasterCard commercials. They're fun and relatively easy when my computer doesn't act up.
So, here's my starting three. I hope you enjoy them! I loooove feedback too, so please drop me a note to let me know what you think! Please? I'm not above begging!
A reminder: These are RM files, so make sure you right click on the links and click on "Save As..." or it's going to suck to try and find it on your hard drive again.
My first one,
entitled "Completely
Natural." I had an on-going debate between two sound clips, but this one won out
simply because I had to expand the length of the video and then the other clip was too
short. Music: From Mary Chapin Carpenter's Whenever You're Ready. (Though
you just don't get any of the lyrics, her band is extremely talented.)
"Funeral
Expenses." The most depressing of these three, but don't worry, it's got a
happier ending. :-) Music: Theme From Rudy, The Final Game. The music
just worked too perfectly here not to use it.
"Replacements."
I actually read a fanfic that did this, which was part of my inspiration to start
these. The fanfic, however, was much more detailed and included things that I could
never get a video capture of. (like Mulder's underwear! Oh how I wish... ::drool::)
Music: Backstreet Boys' Time. I had a hard time finding music for this
"commercial," but this seemed to work really well. I hope you think so
too.
"Getting a
Clue." Okay, this one is really not my video, it's Amanda's... it was all her
idea! So blame her if you dislike it! But if you like it, you can give me the credit since
I constructed it. ;-) The music is by the Henry Mancini Orchestra, and it's called Love
is a Many Splendored Thing. Enjoy!
Read my Love & Thanks.
Don't forget to e-mail me and tell me what you think!
