When I left school in 1978 I couldn’t do the following
things:-
Therefore I had great difficulty communicating with
people in written form, filling in application forms. When someone asked me to
go to the shop for something I would forget what I was going for! Even though I
could speak I had this mountain which I couldn’t get over.
In 1983 I was out walking one day and felt led to go into
a church. Towards the end of the church service the pastor asked if anyone
wanted to receive Jesus as Lord. I put my hand up! I was taken to the crčche
room and there prayed with a Christian believer.
Within 3 to 4 weeks God gave me the ability to read, tell
the time, know the day, month, etc. The whole church congregation was amazed
because of the changes evident in me. My sister saw the change but the rest of
my family were not interested.
Sometime after the Lord spoke to me and said, “I will
roll away the stone and make you a spring of living water for all to come and
drink. “
The Bible says :-
“ for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”( Exodus 15: 26b ).
If you are interested in knowing the God that
healed me then pray the following prayer and mean it:-
Dear
God… I admit I am a sinner and need your forgiveness; I believe that Jesus
Christ died in my place paying the penalty for my sins; I am willing right now
to turn from my sin and accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord. I
commit myself to you and ask you to send the Holy Spirit into my life, to fill
me and take control, and to help me become the kind of person you want me to
be. Thank you Father for loving me. In
Jesus’ name, Amen.
To continue as a true believer you must follow the
Lord Jesus Christ. This involves regularly: 1. Reading the Bible; 2. Praying to God in Jesus’
name; 3. Fellowshipping with other born-again believers.
