The Hunsaker Family

The Hunsaker family has been a source of great confusion, I have found tons of conflicting information and little source material. I will begin this line with the emigrant ancestor, Hartmann Hunsaker and perhaps add generations further back later as I keep attempting to sort things out.

First Generation

Hartmann Hunsaker born 27 January 1692 in Bern, Switzerland. He died in Pennsylvania, the year is unknown. He was married around 1713 to Anna Stirtz born about 1697 in Switzerland. She died about 1738 in Manheim, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.
There is speculation that Anna was first married to a Jacob Coghenhour but this has not been proven.
Their Children:
i. Verena Hunsaker born before 1715 in Switzerland. She married John Roth in Pennsylvania
ii. Elizabeth Hunsaker born before 1715 in Switzerland. She married Jacob Garth.
iii. Ursula Hunsaker born after 1716 in Switzerland. She married Benjamin Landis.
iv. Anna Hunsaker born about 1716 in Switzerland. She married Ludwig Mohler.
v. Mary Hunsaker born about 1716 in Switzerland. She married Caspar Rowland.
vi. Johannes (John) Hunsaker born 22 May 1728 in Switzerland. Died July 15 1750 in Jonesboro, Union Co., Illinois. He was married 15 May 1750 in Manchester, York Co., Pennsylvania to Magdalena Berg/Bieri born 3 January 1732 in East Manchester, York Co., Pennsylvania. She died 8 September 1796 in Muhlenberg, Kentucky or Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.

iii. Barbara Hunsaker born 6 May 1754 in East Manchester, York Co., Pennsylvania. Died 27 July 1788 in Pennsylvania.
iv. Nicholas Hunsaker born 3 February 1756 in East Manchester, York Co., Pennsylvania. According to the IGI, Nicholas was married and died on the same date, 28 Mar 1790. This is entirely possible since I cannot locate any children for Nicholas and Catherina. This will need to be researched further.
