GREETINGS FROM THE EAST this is a welcome to all those who see our homepage. We truly hope that you will enjoy the information we have provided for your review and that you will continue to search for more. Our lodge is a friendly lodge; and we are always interested in receiving new candidates, however our charter requires that all worthy candidates must come of their own free will, and must be invited to membership once their application has been given consideration, and a vote taken, by our regular Master Masons at work in the Lodge. Some are curious about what we do because they've heard many rumors, but are not sure about what they've heard. We hope that much of what you can learn from these pages will assist in clarifying what we do. We are a fraternity based on the belief in an all seeing, all powerful God. We dedicate ourselves to many community service endeavors and we are committed to the assistance of widows and orphans wherever disbursed. While it is true that we do preserve "the secret rituals" of ancient Freemasonry based upon the building of the temple under King Soloman, none of what we adhere to is in any way contrary to the moral upbringing of our citizens, or to God's ( universal) moral law. If you have questions, you may call me at any time... Dennis Jensen,PM, current Worshipful Master, Sharon Lodge NO.182 (410-833-2804),or Senior Warden, Raymond F. Everette,PM, ( 410-655-3186). Following this, Brother Dwight Newton, P.M. conducted a memorial Service for our brothers who had passed to the Celestial Lodge above. This was followed by my installation after which I installed and invested the rest of the officers of the lodge. --------------------------------------------------- In Memoriam If I should ever leave you whom I love To go along the silent way Grieve not Nor speak of me with tears But laugh and talk as if I were beside you there. And when you hear a song or see abird I loved please do not let the thought of me be sad. For I am loving you just as I always have. You were so good to me. There are so many things I wanted still to do. So many things to say to you. Remember that I did not fear. It was just leaving you that was so hard to face. We cannot see beyond, But this I know ... I love you so.
May the peace that passeth all understanding, rest and abide with him ... now and forever more. Amen! IN MEMORIAM It is with a heavy heart I write this message, because on February 14, 2009 our friend and brother Herbert W. Findeisen Jr., P.M., of Sharon Lodge , passed to the celestial lodge above. Herb, as we all knew him, entered Masonry in 1973. He was raised to Master Mason on 11/16/73. He immediately joined the officer ranks, and became Worshipful Master of the Lodge in 1977. He served a second term as master in 1978. Herb continued to serve Sharon Lodge in various important positions, including five-years service as Treasurer, and twenty-one years as Lodge Secretary. I cannot remember a single meeting without him there at his station. He always greeted everyone with a friendly smile and a warm Masonic handshake. Herb was also active in the Boumi Shrine. I recall his installation as President of the Knights of Mecca. This year Herb retired from the office of secretary; yet he continued to serve our Lodge as Marshall. Herb was a teacher in the Baltimore City School system; Vice principal of Eastern High School, and Principal of Hamilton Middle School. After he retired from B.C.S.S. he became an advisor at Carroll County Community College. Teachers are sopecial people who want more for others than they want for themselves. They seek to help others learn what they themselves have mastered. I am sure Herb was aperson who would have been easy to learn from; and he touched a lot of lives. He left them the better for it. He will surely be missed by us all. Dennis C. Jensen, P.M. may the peace of God which passes all understanding rest and abide with Herb, now and forever.
Please keep all fellow brothers who are sick in your prayers.
Please send any news about sick and shut in brothers to Brother Ollie Strong 410-922-3917
