To play a game you need two things: the ROM for that game, and the emulator for the system it goes with. For example, if I wanted to play Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest, then I would first have to downlad the emulator for NES, since that is the platform that CV 2 runs on. Next I would need to get the game. A game is called a ROM. So I would download the ROM for CV 2. Next I would unzip both of these files (since they come in the zip form to download them faster. If you dont have winzip then go here. Once they are unzipped then you should open the folder of the ROM you just downloaded. Copy the file in that folder that has the extension .nes (it is different for every emulator) to the emulator folder (ex. copy CV.nes to the NESticle folder). Next run the emulator and select the game you just downloaded to play it.
