| Summary: This is the very first Castlevania that came to the states. It came on many different platforms, but it was the all the same game. The actual first Castlevania game was released in Japan earlier, under the name: Vampire Killer. It was basically the same game too. Castlevania contributes to many platforming elements that we see today. What interested most people was that your enemies were not flying turtles, but rather, monsters from different stories that we've all heard, such as, the tale of Count Dracula, or the Lockness Monster. I personally think that this is much more intriguing than flying turtles and goombas. This is one of games that has spawned so many sequels and rip offs but when you look back, this is where it all begun. | |
