The Knights Invite provided some of the best teams in the Baltimore area a chance to compete against teams they wouldn't usually face. On a day where the temperature barely reached 50 degrees, Oakland Mills boys team had a very strong showing in winning all of the relays and several individual events. Johnson and Barksdale of Oakland Mills went 1-2 in the 100 and 200 dashes and ran legs on the victorious relays. A fast early pace in the 1500 left the field strung out with David Thomas of Meade coming home victorious after a last lap sprint against Ryan Kirby of Old Mill. Chris Scott of North County took home the Outstanding Athlete Award after tying the meet record in the 110m High Hurdles and breaking the meet record in the 300m Intermediate Hurdles. The 400 was close with Inyang of Meade beating out Odunukwe of North County and Brunache of Oakland Mills. In the 3000m run, Dusty Lieb of Spalding beat the rest of the field by a straightaway and was one second off of the meet record. Jerome Goodman of North County won the High Jump and placed third in the Triple Jump. Abiamiri of Mt. St. Joseph won the Long Jump and placed second in the Triple Jump. The 800m went out in 58 seconds for the first quarter in a race that had 25 people squeezed on the track. Matt Gray of Broadneck beat out Patterson of Bowie and Rujinko of Oakland Mills for the win. Rob Ludwig of Mt. St. Joe won the Pole Vault. Jeremy Moore of Broadneck won the Shot Put. John Cargo of North County won the Discus.
