This is a picture of one of the first Shaw Junior High School Marching Band Performances. In the beginning the band did not have uniforms, and like most bands, they had to improvise. The uniforms that you see here were donated to the band. Most of the uniform were too big for the members of the band, and that is how they became known as the "baggy blues". Although the school colors were green and gold at that time the band wore the blues with unmatched pride.
