  4. Place on parchment covered cookie sheet, and bake at 250 deg. for 1-2 hours or until light brown.
  5. After designs cool you can paint with tempera paint.
Note: We did this one Christmas, and I cut Christmas trees out for all our friends. Then, I made circles for the heads (of each member of the family), used a garlic press to create the doughy hair, and after baking, painted and wrote names under each head. The heads are supposed to be the ornaments on the tree. This was really cute and everyone loved it!

Slime
2 cups Elmer's school glue
1-1/2 cups water
Food coloring
1 tsp. of Borax
1/2 c water

  1. Mix glue, 1-1/2 cups water, and food coloring, mixing well.
  2. In anther bowl, stir borax and 1/2 cup water.
  3. Add borax solution to the glue solution.
  4. This will make a verty thick solution that will take careful hand kneading to completely mix together, but it is not too hard for an older child to do.
NOTE: NOT FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN AS THIS CONTAINS BORAX. WARN OLDER CHILDREN NOT TO EAT THIS MIXTURE.
