The Prevent-A-Litter program offers reduced-cost spaying and neutering to those needing assistance. WAIF will help by giving them a PAL coupon for $25.00 off spay/neuter fees for a dog or $20.00 off spay/neuter fees for a cat. These coupons are accepted by most veterinarians on Whidbey Island. For more information or to arrange to pick up a discount coupon, call 678-5816 or 331-2818.
The Prevent-A-Litter of Ferals program is for the spaying and neutering of feral cats to help prevent cat overpopulation. At WAIF, we will not euthanize a healthy cat merely because it is a "wild" cat. WAIF advocates spaying/neutering of feral cats to be re-released in their original habitat. To support this position, we have a spay/neuter assistance program to help control the population of feral cats on Whidbey Island. To learn more about how this program works or how you can take advantage of it, please call the shelter at 360-678-5816 or 360-331-5111, ext. 250.
