The Keystone Sub runs from Viaduct Junction in Cumberland, MD (MP 178.9) to
Sinns, PA (MP 311.7). This set of photos is taken at one of my favorite spots,
Ohiopyle State Park (MP 253.5) hike, raft and watch trains at this scenic spot.
Check my travel page for non-train photos of the area. I also threw in a few
shots from Confluence, Pa (MP 243.3) east of Ohiopyle.

An Ohiopyle Fall day highlights this CSX West bounder. This is another
great spot to watch trains. They pass here after Harpers Ferry, Shenandoah
Jct, Cumberland and Sand Patch. This is another one the judges didn't like. This
is not one of my scans. 10/99

UP on CSX on another Fall day and another year, Oct. 20, 2000.
Ohiopyle has become one of my favorite spots to railfan. This Westbounder has
just crossed the road in the town of Ohiopyle.

FURX These green/grey units are becoming pretty regular on CSX now.
They do add a bit of color to the motive power. This shot is taken at the
middle Youghiogheny takeout area. What is that you say? Welp, the river is
popular for white water rafting. If you don't get out here, you go over the
falls. Not a good thing.

Autoracks This shot of a Westbounder is taken right in town at the
highway bridge. It is also where the old Western Maryland tracks crossed the
river. The WM station is now a visitor's center and the roadbed is a hiker/biker
trail.

Amtrak's PO30 eases through town just on the West side of the grade
crossing. CSX uses the area to the right to store ties, supplies and to gather
the MOW folks. For those interested in hiking and camping, this is a great
spot. Eventually I will have non-rail photos up of the area on my travel
page.

MOW This ballast tamper was working West of Confluence, PA. Confluence
is about 11 miles East of Ohiopyle if you take the WM hike/bike trail. It's
a little longer if you drive. These guys were finishing up for the day.

Fall color is the only reason for this shot. It is taken near
the MOW shot. Confluence has several good photo locations. I had a nice chat
with the local police chief out driving his rounds. He was quite friendly.
