Lewistown Junction is off Rt. 322/22 west of Mt. Union. It is a great
spot to watch trains. It is a working station for Amtrak. This visit is Friday
January 19, 2002.
|
North Shore RR at Lewistown. I didn't even know this outfit existed.
It was a nice surprise.
|
West bounder
at the station. The signals help to make this an interesting spot. I am on
the "wrong" side of the tracks. There is a sign not to cross the tracks but
you can only see it from the "wrong" side of the tracks.
|
Amtrak headed east around 1:30. I think the schedule said it should
be by around 11:25. What a surprise. The Sun went in on me.
|
Lewistown Junction west bounder with a little blue on the head end from
the station side.
|
East bound with a standard cab. I rarely get the train numbers on these
things.
|
West bounder at the station. I had to get the name in there.
Lighting can be difficult here. I am on the north side of the tracks. There is
a hill on the south side.
|
East bound on Sunday Jan. 21, 2002. An entirely different landscape.
The lighting was bad for this shot but I couldn't toss it. It has snow in it.
|
East bounder going away. I just wanted to get a shot from the same spot
as number 7 but with the snow.
